Miniaturistic trophy head with nicely modeled facial features. Arched brows over large eyes, pointed snub nose, fleshy lips and elaborate ears. The head is standing on a partially preserved ring base. Ceramic. Costa Rica, ca. 300 to 500 AD. L. 4.2 cm (1.65 in), H. 2.6 cm (1 in). Reconstituted from fragments, else a nice example. Swiss art market (data will be disclosed to the buyer)

Terracotta figure with hollow body with a whistle mouth piece incorporated in the right shoulder. The head depicts a stern expression. Elaborate hat in the shape of a jaguar head and large ear spools. Jaguar skin covers his the cheeks. Black and red color for the skin of the man, yellow for the wrapped loincloth and the skin of the jaguar. Red on the necklace. Terracotta. H. 14.8 cm (5.8 in). Mayan, Late Classic Period, 600-950 AD. Nicoya-Guanacaste tripod with a short bulged wall, the cup mounted on hollow heads with protruding features and slit mouths. The vessel is covered with a cream colored slip and enhanced with red and black. The hollow legs contain tiny balls to use the vessel as a rattle. Ceramic. Costa Rica, Papagayo Polychrome, ca. 1000-1350 AD. H. 7 cm (2.75 in), D. 9 cm (3.5 in). Intact, good quality and condition. Surface and applied decoration slightly worn in places. Swiss art market.

Nicoya-Guanacaste cup with slightly flared rim. The rim with an applied red band topped on the inside by short black strokes. The hollow legs rendered as pointed heads with painted features. Tiny vent holes. Ceramic. Costa Rica, Papagayo Polychrome, ca. 1000-1350 AD. H. 6.5 cm (2.55 in), D. 9.9 cm (3.9 in). Pristine condition. Intact. The vessel covered with a cream colored slip. Surface with heavy black soil deposits. Swiss art market.

The bulbous hollow legs with slit vent holes and small balls inside to use the vessel as a rattle. Ceramic. Costa Rica, Middle Polychrome Period, 1000-1500 AD. Atlantic watershed cup with slightly flared rim standing on three pointed legs. Incised geometric decoration on the outside wall heightened with applied white pigment. Ceramic. Costa Rica, Atlantic Watershed, Late Period, 1-500 AD. H. 8 cm (3.1 cm), D. 11.9 cm (4.7 in) Pristine condition with carefully burnished surface. One leg reattached, otherwise intact. Legs and incised decoration enhanced with applied white color. Root marks. Swiss art market.
