| Interesting selection of bone ledges with neatly drilled out buttons or beads. The buttons were rather small and bored out with tubular drills. The bones are compact with little spongy structure and may belong to the shoulder blades of animals. Included is the annular section of a long bone with unclear function. These are typical findings from medieval cities or motte-and-bailey castles. The finding spot is somewhere in Germany. Germany, medieval period. Items: 3.1 cm (1.2 in) to 7.4 cm (2.9 in). Case: 25 cm x 25 cm (9.8 in). Fragments. Nice selection mounted on the old spine of a book. Formerly in the collection of the dragoon-officer Kurt von Kaulla (born 1881), Darmstadt/Freiburg (Germany). | ||
