This is a very cute French Bed in rosewood with very fine carving on the cartouche, and a great diamond pattern on both the headboard and footboard. The bed has a maximum width of 55" and a maximum length of 80" while holding a mattress that would measure 48" x 75". The headboard stands 53" tall and the foot board is 37 1/2" tall in the middle. We have a wonderful brass ormalu mounted animal horn Epergne. Some might call this a cornucopia or horn of plenty. The detail of the mounting alone is wonderful, but the addtional fittings on the horn itself show that this epergne was quality made. Pieces like this in the $1,000's when you find one. Look at the intricate carving on this small French oak server. The size of this serving piece (39” wide by 20” deep by 42” tall) would fit nicely in a breakfast room or in the entry hall adjacent to the dining room as a secondary serving piece.
