Black Serpentine with a portion of AE ring. Lower Egyptian. XVIIIth Dynasty. 20 x 13 x 8 mm. Sphinx walking r. Petrie type E, 64. The sphinx, along with the lion, were often used to symbolize the king and his strength over enemies. aVF with some deterioration at 12 and 6h.
