Tibetan Buddhist Thangka Painting
$400

Large old Tibetan Buddhist Thangka painting depicting Vajrabhairava the wrathful tantric emanation of Manjushri. together with various other wrathful deities including Mahakala, Yama and Palden Lhamo, at the top are the figures of three Lamas. The painting comes complete with its dark blue silk brocade mounting with red and yellow silk strips bordering the painting. There is also a thin worn yellow silk ‘veil’ which can hang over the painting to protect it. It lacks the wooden roller but all it needs it a piece of doweling to be hung. The painting measures 17x24 inches and 26 ¼ x 40 inches including the mounting and is well painted in an unusual palate of pale blues, pinks and gold. The painting is approximately 50 years old
