A Holy Land Early Samaritan-type mould-made terracotta oil lamp discovered in Israel and dated ca. 400 AD, the Byzantine Period. The clay is a light orange color with a slight dirt covering and the lamp measures 8.5 cm. There is much decoration on the article - mostly geometric patterns and a few concentric circles. The bottom has a double ring base with a concave center. A star handle is at the rear and there has been some reconstruction. A very nice Late-Samaritan mould-made terracotta oil lamp discovered in Israel and dated ca. 600 AD, the Byzantine Period. The clay is a light orange color with a slight dirt covering and measures 9.4 cm. There is a chipped lug handle at the rear of the lamp and the decorations on the shoulders are a geometric pattern.
