A Roman transparent green glass jar that is broken on one side. The jar was excavated in East Jerusalem and measures 3.9 cm in height with a circumference of 13.2 cm. The vessel is dated to the 1st century AD, the Roman Period and also the time of Christ. The item has a squat body that grows to a slightly restricted neck and a rolled, flaring rim. This most attractive jar was excavated in Syria and is dated to the 1st - 3rd century AD, the Roman Period. The vessel measures 4.5 cm in height with a circumference of 12.6 cm. The jar is a light green color with a heavy dirt encrustation on the exterior and interior. The squat body grows to a restricted neck and a slightly flared lip.
