| Relics of the Nile is very pleased to present this ancient Roman Egyptian bone fragment for your consideration. This fragment likely was once part of the ornamental decoration of a piece of furniture or a ritual vessel. The fragment shows in great detail a person giving an offering holding out a patera (plate) with a duck facing toward the center. The piece itself measures 2.75" in length and is displayed on a custom museum mount. The size of the mount is 4" x 3.5" and forms a nice display. Once part of a European collection, this would be a nice addition to any antiquities collection. Egypt, Roman period, 100 B.C. - 100 A.D. | ||
