| Relics of the Nile is very pleased to present this exquisite mask for an ancient Egyptian, possibly a priest. The mask is in excellent condition and measures a solid 7.75" in height and 5.5" in width. All facial features are wonderfully crafted with the priestly headwear, eyes, nose, and lips beautifully depicted. The highlight of this piece is the presence of color. The face exhibits white pigment with black pigment forming the eyes, lids, and pupils. The piece, including the pigment, is all original with no restoration. The peg holes are clearly seen and there is little chipping to the piece itself. A very sizable and thick piece. Sturdy. Egypt. 26th Dynasty. 664 - 525 B.C. | ||
