Superb Faience Papyrus Column Amulet!

This is a magnificent ancient Egyptian Papyrus Column Amulet. This piece is intact and in good condition. This is a large amulet with intact suspension loop. The color is a superbly even faience green and is displayed on a black base. The piece can be removed and worn if desired and measures 1 1/8" (plus size of display base). The papyrus column was one of the most important features of ancient Egyptian society and was the model for amulets, reliefs and temple columns. A tremendous conversation piece and an excellent display! Egypt, Ptolemaic Period, 350 - 50 B.C.
