| Relics of the Nile is very pleased to present this superb ancient Egyptian ushabti. This example is intact with a tremendous bright ancient blue faience glaze remaining. The color on the piece is simply stunning and remains vibrant to this day without restoration. The facial features are brilliant, along with the depiction of the ushabti standing in Osiride form with sulk and hoe in his hands. The Nemes headcloth is also very clearly formed along with the eyes, nose, mouth, etc. A very fine piece worthy of any collection. The ushabti dates to the Late (747 - 332 B.C.) This piece most likely dates to within a period of 380 - 343 B.C. A wonderful large piece that measures 4.5" in height and makes an impressive display. Reference: cf. Harry M.
