| Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this outstanding Egyptian Middle Kingdom Headrest. This fine specimen is a 3 piece headrest with a fluted pedestal. Large in size, it measures 9" in length and 8.5" in height. In life this was used as a pillow, and then as a rest for the mummies head after death. A fine artifact from the Middle Kingdom (1991 - 1786 B.C.). There has been chipping to the base and top. Otherwise this is a nice example. Compare this to the other examples of the same quality sold for $2,000.00 and higher elsewhere. | ||
