| A late 19th to early 20th century Peruvian Amazon Shipibo face bowl, hand painted with geometric meander design in tan, black and earthen red on terracotta redware wood fired pottery. The surface is glazed or sealed with clear resin. The inside finished in brown and black with incomplete coverage of pigment and resin. Very good condition for age, with a few minor glaze chips and two spots near the face where the pigment has also been chipped off. Top opening 11.5cm, diameter 17.2cm, height 10cm. | ||
