This dated 1848 portrait is believed to be of David Schofield Painter, who was William Bell Scott's brother-in-law. The condition of this oil on canvas is not good. A great deal of this painting has been reworked!!

This Autumn Landscape (13 1/2" X 19 1/4") is signed on the lower left side Francis Villeret. This oil on canvas has been cleaned and it is mounted in a new frame. Villeret was born in 1800 and died in 1866. His art can be found in many European Museums.

This 1856 self-portrait by Seymour Guy (1824-1910) is mounted in its original frame. The signature is on the left side if the chair. Several of this American Artist can be found in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. There is some in-painting on the face and coat.

This is a signed portrait of model, girlfriend, or wife of Warren B Davis. There are two damages on the canvas on the left side and a little damage on the dress. The painting has never been cleaned and is mounted in its original frame. The painting measures 7" x 10" oil on canvas. The frame measures 12 1/2" x 15 3/8". The painting is signed in the top left corner Warren B Davis 1893.

The photo on the left shows a double portrait by John Singer Sargent of Mr. John White Field and his wife. This painting was done in the early 1880's and is in the collection of Pennyslvania Academy of Fine Arts. The image on the right shows an earlier portrait of Mr. Field by Sargent. Notice Mr. Field is blind in his left eye, which is enlarged and his right eye is focused which is a good eye. It is my opinion that Mr. Field rejected the first portrait of himself done by Sargent...

The study photo on the left is a close up of Mr. John White Field,a Philadelphia Merchant, which was painted by John Singer Sargent in the early 1880's. The study image in the center shows what Mr. Field looks like with the beard removed. The image on the right shows an earlier Sargent portrait of Mr. Field. This is the reverse photo of the 1626 Flemish Old Master Painting. Please refer to listing. The original untouched linen canvas measures 66" x 44". It is mounted in its original stretcher and the canvas is glued to the stretcher. A replacement support has been added to the middle part of the canvas. is is a detailed and enlarged photo of Isabella Brant, Peter Paul Rubens wife. The image is of a close up of Isabella which shows the detailed embroidery design symbol of a honeysuckle. This painting was done in 1609 as a wedding portrait of Rubens and his wife. The background is a honeysuckle bower. This symbol means family love, and it appears in over 17 Flemish Paintings by Rubens, Van Dyck and Jordanens. The black and white image on the right shows the design in black and white...

The image on the right is an enlarged study of the vest worn by the Mother in the Van Dyck portrait. The Portrait of a Woman and Child was painted in 1620-21 by Van Dyck. The unusual design on the vest matches that of Rubens. The embroidery design symbol means family love. Again, I believe this represents a Flemish Honeysuckle which appears in over 17 Flemish Old Master Paintings. A new lab report confirms the gold color is real "GOLD" on canvas!!

This monogram appears on the lower right corner of the Flemish painting in our listing. We read this monogram to be two connecting masonic letter "R&D". We belive this represents the painters of this painting. A new outside lab confirms the color gold on this canvas altar painting is real "GOLD"!! After reviewing the Bob Jones Gallery 400+ collection of religious art, we found no real gold on canvas paintings in their collection. GOLD ON CANVAS IS SUPER RARE!!

Similar markings can be found on the RFL’s TEN DOLLAR BILL 1956 Lithograph...
