This is very fine and very old Japanese Makie Tebako in Rimpa. The box has Hagi(bush clover) leaves design all around the box including the bottom or box. My dealer friend said he never seen Makie box has same type finish on the bottom of box. The makie finish between each clover leaves are done in Gin(silver) Makie.
