Fine Japanese Komai Style Cigarette Case

The size of Cigarette Case: 4 1/8" L x 3 1/8" W x 3/4" High. Very nice Japanese Komai style work cigarette case. It has very fine detail workmenship with the design of Mt. Fuji, Pagoda, Torii and waterfront design in gold works. The case made of copper body. The design works are in relief with carved design works. Inside rim as well as cigarette holding band with gold palting. The case close and open excellent. No missing part. There is little wear from age. The condition excellent. There is one tiny indentation which is very minor on the upper right back corner, not much noticeble. You can see from last backside photo. Dating from late Meiji to Taisho. 1910-1920's. |
