| The size of Cup: 3 7/16" Dia x 2 3/4". Japanese Ko Imari Porcelain Sometsuke Cup. The cup is made with fine quality porcelain. It has wonderful design of Sagi and flowers. There are three windows of egrets, one with head up and other with head doewn. Between them three windows of different flower design. The workmenship of painting done with shiranuki finish which leave white blank area as the design. The rest of area with dami-e (gosu blue painted) carefully. The top of cup as well as inside top rim has nicely painted motif. The condition of cup excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. There are little corsey glazing spots at upper cup result from kiln. Dating fro late 18th century Edo, 1790-1800. | ||||||||||||
