| The size of Chawan: 4 5/8" Dia x 2 7/8" High. Unuusal Japanese Karatsu Chawan. It has fine shape with very unuusal color glazing inside. It has one grass like design at the front. It came with kiri wood box. The condition of chawan excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline other than Karatsu glazing. Dating from Late Edo to Early Meiji period, late 19th century. Please note that bottom view of chawan's Kodai proportion is off from the size of chawan because of angle of camera.(Kodai looks very large, but it is not). | |||||||||||||
