| The size of Bowl: 5 5/8" Dia x 1 3/4" High. Japanese Ko Imari Sometsuke Porcelain Bowl. The bowl is made by famous Higuchi Kiln which their marking showing at bottom of bowl. Nice quality procelan as well as nice glazing. The bowl is in the shape of octagonal. Nice sometsuke work with lots of detail. The center of bowl has bamboo done in Shiranuki Yoshiki(white knock out technique). There is plum flower around the cicle. There are two different geometric design on the side wall. The condition of bowl is excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. One tiny Hittsuki on the side of center bowl which is from kiln. The side wall's sometsuke work little blur from the heavier glazing. The couple of spots on the back side are from kiln which are completely glazed. The bowl sit well. Dating from Edo Chuki(middle Edo), Horeki to Kansei Period(1760-1790). | |||||||||||
