| The size of Dish: 4 1/2" Dia across x 7/8" High. Very lovely Japanese Ko Imari Octagonal Porcelain Dish. Dish is made by fine quality porcelain as well as fine glazing. There is Gold and Red Karakusa design at the rim area. The center of dish has Japanese Tsukushi bud(horsetail)design. Tsukushi in Japan are symbol for children because the children will grow up so rapidly as Tsukushi(horsetail). The grass around Tsukushi are accented with gold. The condition of dish are excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. Dating from Edo Kouki(late Edo), 1800-40. | ||||||||||||||
