A pair of large pottery tomb figures, dating to the Ming Dynasty, circa A.D. 1368 - 1644 Exceptionally well-made and large figures for the type and with a wonderful amount of sharp details and finely coloured glaze - wonderful style! The riders are wearing high hats and robes, holding two different musical instruments in their hands, the horse standing four-square on a rectangular base, with much remaining pigments and glaze. Sizes: They measure c. 30 cm. high and some 28-29 cm. from heads to tails. Condition: Superb! Unusually nice quality and condition! ***These can also be sold individually!*** |
