A superb Babylonian cylinder seal, Old Babylonia, dating to 2100-1800 BC. This seal still has the orginal encrusted copperwire stuck inside, completely encrusted!.
An exceptional seal in mint condition in a fine black stone. The seal is engraved with an image of the great king standing fronting a godess, between them a crouching monkey, above symbols of the sun and moon. Provenance: Ex.
