A huge and very elaborate style Chinese terracotta tomb figure, dating to the Ming dynasty, 14th.-16th. cent. AD. We have handpicked a selection of exceptionally condition glaced and painted figures out of a large Chinese collection. Our figures are of a much better style and detail than most authentic figures on the market. This figure is especially impressive! The figure is very large and fully dressed including a peculiar hat. The figure is a socalled zodiak figue and he holds a chicken. It's an older man, possibly a high-ranking official, we're not certain. Wonderful precise glacing on the body in green, red, black and white pigment. Size: 32-33 cm. - a huge and quite massive figure, very impressive. Condition: Choice! Exceptional quality, no repairs or wear. |
