A huge and very rare Westerwald jug, signed and dated the year 1675. This extremely impressive jug measure no less than 35-36 cm. in height. It's glaced stoneware - highly glossy in a radiant blue and grey. The jug is decorated with floral decorations with hearts and stars. The jug is signed in the bottom with 'Ullu Hausler, Gralshausen 1675' Condition: Superb for the type, size and age. Almost invisible minor restoration to handle and a restored inner chip to the rim. Othervise superb and intact. |
