| Seal from the Neo-Assyrian period of Mesopotamia, 9th.-7th. BC. Extremely detailed seal. A god is walking right with an Ankh symbol in right hand. Two dancing demons to his left, one with the legs of a bull. To his right a demon with a bulls head in his hand. A crescent and other symbols in the fields. Artistic and outstanding cylinder seal! Size: 19 mm. Condiiton: Nearly superb, minimal chip. Provenance: Ex Oliver Antique. Ex Swedish private collection - purchased during the 1950s at Viktoria Lindströms Antikhandel, Stockholm. Her business card in the collection together with notes. Ex late 19th. century collection, note the old custom made brass mount with collection number (letter) hand-chiselled. | ||
