SOLD to TAIWAN. 

Chinese conical stoneware TEA BOWL with an iridescent glaze from the late Ming Dynasty. Excellent condition except for some slight scratching of the glaze inside the cavetto; but no chips, cracks, fritting or restorations. Height is 1 7/8 inch and the diameter is 4 1/2 inches.(4.8 x 11.4 cms.) Circa: 16th-17th Century.

Chinese conical shaped stoneware TEA BOWL with a "Mule's Liver," glaze. Diameter is 4 3/8 of an inch x 2 inches in height. Condition is very good with some typical glaze imperfections during firing. Circa: 16th-17th century, late Ming Dynasty.

KOREAN (Joseon Dynasty) iron-glazed facetted (11 sided) porcelain JAR with upright, extended walls divided into eleven facets above the inset, circular foot and below the slanted shoulders with a wavy line, and applied with an iron glaze pooling yellowish green, the mouth and foot rims unglazed. Chinese pottery Quingbai JAR with a crackled slightly bluish glaze over a well molded body incised with vertical (but not parallel) lines on a slightly inverted narrow foot rim. Condition is good with some losses to the rim and glaze on the shoulder (as shown in the photos) Circa: Song Dynasty, 11-12th Century. Japanese porcelain Imari BOWL "Akadama" in bell form with a dragon design inside the cavetto,with a floral rim with underglaze blue and green, orange and yellows. There is a tassel design on the outside with oranges, greens and yellows. No mark on the bottom. Condition is good, the colors are bright, except for the green cloud marks inside the bowl, and there is a small 1/2 inch hairline crack in the rim. PERSIAN (Iran) Very Large Handmade COPPER POT, originally used to cooking rice, with geometric designs around the body. Suitable for storing either firewood or paper on your hearth next to the fireplace! Dimensions are diameter of 17.5 inches or 44.5 cms and the height is 10.5 inches or 27 cms. Condition is good, nice patina. Circa: early 20th Century.

19th Century Japanese cedar and bamboo CANDLESTAND with sliding circular shoji paper screen, all with a "bengara" finish. There is a small sliding drawer (for wicks) in the base in front. Condition is fair, with some worn areas and some deterioration near the bottom and back. (see photos #5 and 6) Shoji screen is somewhat damaged, but can be easily repaired with shoji paper from Japan. Height is 32 5/8 inches (83 cms.) with a diameter of 12 inches (30.5 cms.) Chinese pottery "brown-ware" VASE with rich glaze applied over the body and neatly stopping about 1.25 inches(3 cm) above the foot rim. Condition is good, but there is a "kiln flaw" in which the everted rim was a bit misshaped! None the less in spite of the rim (see photos) and the glaze that ran down over the biscuit onto the foot rim; this a ceramic that is worth collecting!
