$1,100 for a total of 4 pieces; Bowl, Lid, inside Tray & Stand

Burmese COVERED MONK'S BOWL with LID and INSIDE TRAY and Black lacquer STAND. This lacquerware bowl is not only beautifully proportioned, but it is made from WOVEN BAMBOO, rather than the typical COILED bamboo, which gives it more strength and beauty because the pattern is discernable under the layers of cinnabar lacquer! The stand is also made from woven bamboo! Condition, good overall, there are a few small "nicks," about the size of a matchhead on the lid. There is one spot on ...click for details

This plate was made prior to German artifical blue dyes, it's the real thing, cobalt. Unfortunately, this fine speciman was broken ...click for details
