One Complete set (5 bowls and lids ) of Japanese orange LACQUER BOWLS and LIDS. The covers are beautifully painted in gold with peony flowers and leaves with a single Shibui butterfly. There are some small chips on the edges of some of the bowls and lids, but the condition is very good overall. Suitable for use as a "miso soup" bowl or as a decorative accent. Circa 1900-1920. Height with lid is 3.5" and diameter is 4.5 inches.

Northern Thai pottery blue, white & brown JAR with a lotus handle on the lid. Provenance: Arthur M. Sackler Collections, Collection number on base of Jar is 72.3.362b and # on lid is 72.3.362A. Purchased at Christie's in NYC. Condition: there are nicks, pits, a firing crack to the rim, abrasions, losses and discoloration to the glaze. Circa: 16th C. Height is 3 3/8 inches x 3.5 inches.

PERSIAN (Iran) Hand Made COPPERWARE DISH with rounded sides and banded decoration inside the cavetto with a floral decoration in the center! Very nice patina. The outside of the dish and bottom are heavily oxidized by age and almost black in color. The diameter is 8 7/8 inches or 22.5 cms. and the height is 1 3/8 of an inch or 3.5 cms. There are a few small "dings," in this vessel, as to be expected with it's age. Circa: late 19th Century.

Chinese Famille Juane porcelain VASE with peony flower decoration, TABLE LAMP with a brass cluster head light fixture which slides a total of 5 inches up and down. The total height of the lamp is 28.5 inches to a low of 22.5 inches. The height of the vase is 11.5 inches and the sides are 5.75" x 5.75". A transitional (1640-1680) Chinese porcelain BEAKER VASE with an inscribed dragon motif around the circumference of the vase with a Blanc de Chine white glaze. Condition is quite good although there is a 3/8 of an inch hairline crack in the rim (inside & out) and slight glaze chip on the rim as well. Otherwise in good condition. Circa: 17th Century. Height is 8 inches (20.7 cm) and width at rim is 4.75 inches (12 cm)

Japanese earthenware MORTAR & PESTLE with a soft pure white glaze, suitable for grinding! Large size with the pestle 9.5 inches (24 cms.) in length and the diameter of the mortar is 6 5/8 inches or 17 cms. Height is 3 5/8 inches or 9.5 cms. Condition is perfect! No chips, cracks or restorations. There is a lip to pour the contents from the mortar.

A large Korean white wear JAR in baluster form on a raised foot ring with a short neck and everted lip applied overall with a matt slightly blue crackled transparent overglaze. Height is 16 3/8inches (41.5 cm) and width at shoulder is 14 inches (35.5 cm) Condition is good, some iron spots, no chips or restoration. Circa: 19th Century.

Sold from E. Schloss Collection, purchased at Christie's NYC- Exhibited in 2 museums in CA.  

Braying Chinese Camel, pottery, sancai glaze, Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) some restorations. This was purchased from Christies in NYC, and was from the E. Schloss Collection. It was exhibited at the Monterey Peninsula Museum of Art @ La Mirada 08/21/94 and the Bowers Museum of Cultural Art in Santa Ana CA, 10/06/96-03/16/97. This example of Chinese Funerary Art is superior to many examples in the finest museums. 22 inches in height x 18 inches in width.
