Chinese ceramic, Yongzheng (1723-1735) porcelain, SOUFFLE, Coral-glazed VASE with a baluster shaped body rising to a wide flaring mouth from a high spreading base. There is a "bow-string," band around the shoulder of the vase. White glaze appears on the uppermost outer lip of the rim and interior. The base is cut high, with no glaze. A Chinese "pi-ch'i p'ing," or water-chestnut shaped, copper-red porcelain VASE from the Kangxi period (1662-1722) of compressed globular form set with a thick tall neck with a slightly flaring mouth, all supported on a low foot, covered in a thin copper red glaze draining at the mouth and around the middle of the body to a slight greenish tinge and pooling to a deep red at the shoulders and foot, all beneath a fine network of crackles in the glaze.
