Two Japanese Shinto Gods, Ebisu with this fish under his left arm, he represents the daily food and Daikoku, happy God of wealth hr holds his magic hammer which, when struck, will produce anything wished for. He is standing on rice bags and together with Ebisu they symbolize food (rice and fish) and therefore wealth. Images of these two Gods together are often displayed in the show window of small shops or small eating places in Japan.
