Japanese porcelain VASE in the Kakiemon (style and colors) of peonies and a single butterfly. There is a two character mark in underglaze blue on the base which reads " Hide-Ho." Condition is excellent, no chips, cracks or restorations. Height is 9 7/8 inches or 25 cms. and width of base is 3 1/4 inches or 8.4 cms. Circa: 1960's.

Two large Bamboo baskets (Silk-worms eat a mold on mulberry leaves) from Japan. These baskets make fantastic wall lamps with a little shoji paper and an electrical socket! The effect is magical. Lamps can be hand made by Shibui Art, please inquire. The diameter is 33" and the depth is 2.25". Circa pre 1960. Very Shibui.

A BURMESE ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR of "Tharba Gate," (looking west towards the Irrawaddy River, built in 1101 for the old walled city of Pagan, Burma. The walls were estimated to have been built around 850 AD. There are "native spirits," one male on the right and one female on the left where people leave small offerings of flowers and fruit. Painted by a neknown Burmese artist, Tin Aung Htaik who lives in Rangoon. SIze is 18.5 x 13.75 inches.

Two (2)miniature IKO made in Japan. Just like the larger IKO which were originally used to hang & display Kimono; these smaller (but painstakingly made to the same proportions) IKO's can now be used for jewelry to hang necklaces and earrings in a unique and tasteful way! J-89 has mother of pearl inlay and J-90 has three painted cranes on the bottom panel. (see photographs) Both have metal (brass) hinges and both have the same dimensions. Japnease earthenware TEA BOWL (Cup) with an incised artist's mark ("Hangetsu") and a signed kiriwood box. This strikingly beautiful TEA BOWL has a soft "dreamlike" glaze which emulates marble. Well potted this would make a wonderful present for someone who wants to actually drink green tea in a Japanese Tea Bowl!
