A well rendered replica of a Nara period (645-793 AD) Buddhist Avalokitesvara. This metal religious sculpture has an appealing patina. Cast in two pieces with a third (the aura) added. Circa after WWII before 1970. Height = 9.75 inches.
This Japanese Temple Bell is cast in bronze approx. 1/8 of an inch thick with simple concentric rings around the bell topped with a floret type design. The handle cast separately in great detail.
The clapper is also metal and the sound is pure and piercing. Circa, 1930's; height= 7 inches.
Japanese SCROLL of Buddhist Art with a central Buddha flanked by Bosatsu, with two other figures kneeling in the foreground. This scroll was printed. There is some slight damage and creases to the scroll, although the print itself remains in good, frame-able condition. Dimensions of the scroll overall are 8.5 inches x 24.25 inches. The picture itself is 6 7/8" x 14 3/8". Circa: 1930's.
Printed black ink rendition of a Japanese Shinto deity, "FUDO-sama," keeper of the gate to hell, SCROLL. There are some insect holes in the scroll, (see photo) but nonetheless, still suitable to be framed.

Pair of Japanese porcelain "Kitsune" or Shinto FOX GODS, which are so popular even in today's modern Japan! One fox has a ball in his mouth and the other has a scroll in his mouth. Condition is good except for the fox with the scroll...the tail was broken and repaired, hairline crack is visible upon close inspection. Height is 7.5 inches or 9 cms and width of base is 3.25 inches (8.5 cms) s 2.2 inches of 5.5 cms.) Circa: pre 1970's.
