a Japanese replica of a Chinese "Sleeve Vase" with lion's head mask handles. Earthenware, finely modeled, with a rick lavender colored glaze dripping down inside the mouth and ending neatly just above the base. There is an oval impressed "potter's mark," on the base (see pix# 6,) at 5 o'clock. No cracks, chips or restorations.
Condition is perfect. Circa: pre 1970.
