Japanese Red LACQUER TABLE, (8.75" x 8.75" x 14" in height)with gold highlighted removable legs; make this elegant table suitable for displaying your favorite vase with or without flowers. Can be used for tea ceremony, or in your special place in your home. Condition, the lacquer is in good shape, (no flaking or cracks) but there are some slight black spots on the top of the table, (see last enlargement) Circa: 1860-1890's.

One Complete set (5 bowls and lids ) of Japanese orange LACQUER BOWLS and LIDS. The covers are beautifully painted in gold with peony flowers and leaves with a single Shibui butterfly. There are some small chips on the edges of some of the bowls and lids, but the condition is very good overall. Suitable for use as a "miso soup" bowl or as a decorative accent. Circa 1900-1920. Height with lid is 3.5" and diameter is 4.5 inches.

This circular lacquer box with lid features a beautiful floral pattern and floating butterfly, all in faint gold. Dark brownish red outside and black lacquer inside. Very Shibui! Japanese, diameter is 4.25 inches (10.8 cms.)x 1.5 inches (3.8 cms.) in height. Circa: 1830-1868.

Japanese RED (with black lacquer "butterfly" legs) LACQUER TRAYS,19TH Century; a complete set of five (5) with distinctive shaped corners and legs. Condition is excellent, structurally sound and the lacquer is in good shape overall, with the exception of slight loss of lacquer on the bottom, due to age. Dimensions are 12.5 x 12.5 x 3 inches in height. Circa: 1800-1868.

Each tray has a beautiful wooden grain with a slight green tint, and the legs of the trays have a sophisticated flair. Very shibui! The most beautiful set of 10 Japanese "Ozen," wooden lacquer trays in a kiriwood storage box, I have seen in 15 years! The largest, diameter of 10 inches or 25.4 cms,of a set of three (3) JAPANESE Ceremonial LACQUER BOWLS, with an image of the God, "DAIKOKU-Sama," of the God that makes all things possible...with his magic hammer, in gold. There is two small spots on the rim which were attempted to be repaired and show a lighter color of lacquer than the overall color, and the face of the God is worn and a little fuzzy; otherwise, this bowl is in pretty good shape overall.
