Cast metal Buddha in Bhumisparsa mudra, Pala-Mon style, Pagan (Bagan) Burma; There is an extrusion which was broken or eroded on the mid back of the buddha, about the size of half a penny. Hooks or rings were often cast on the back of Buddha images in Pagan so that they could be attached in temples. 11th-12th Century, height = 10"
A well modeled Terracotta bust of an Avalokitesvara from either Thailand or Cambodia. Some pitting and abrasions and a broken right ear lobe which is to be expected in a terracotta object of this age. Mounted on a wooden stand, the total height is 9.5" x 4 inches. The actual height of the head itself is about 6" x almost 4". There is a Certificate of Antique which states that this is the "style of Banteay Srei to the 18th century."
A well rendered terracotta bust of the Buddha's bust with arching eyebrows, downcast eyes, aquinine nose, moustache, full protruding lips in a smile, elongated ear lobes and a urshina. The total height is 8" x approx. 4". The bust itself measures 4.25" x 3.25". Khmer Brown glazed BOTTLE with a pear shaped body, everted mouth and low foot with a rim. The neck is decorated with a collar of turned lines both above and below the join of the neck to the body. Eroded brownish green glaze. foot unglazed. Circa 11th or 12th Century. Condition is good, no cracks or chips, some fritting. Height is 9" and diameter of base is 3.33"

Celadon glaze BOWL from Sawankhalok, Thailand, decorated with turned lines below a faux-foliated rim and combed lines with a simple double circle in the center. The outside had no decoration other than three broadly spaced bands. A clear olive green glaze. No glaze covering the footrim. Condition is excellent. Circa 19th Century.
Diameter at rim is 9.1 inches. Height is 3" and diameter of footrim is 3.5"
Laksmi (Sri) the Hindu Goddess of Beauty and Good Fortune, the wife of Vishnu (the preserver) who descended to earth as one of Vishnu's avataras. She is holding the attributes of a conch shell, a disc, a ball and a club. She is standing on the buffalo shaped demon Mahisa, whom she has conquered. Circa: 19th Century. Stone Burmese BUDDHA in Bhumisparsa mudra (Touching the Earth to call witness style) from the city of Pagan, Burma. This Buddha has traces of lime which covered it when it was purchased. Condition, as expected, there is chipping and pitting and cracks. (see enlargement # 4.) Height is 23 inches (58.4cms.) x 11.5"(29.2cms)width at the knees. Circa: 11th-12th Century.
Large Burmese LACQUER WATER JAR, with Lid, all with small intricate detailed designs of houses and people and animals. Each time a color is added, it's an additional very time consuming process. There are 5 different colors in these paintings. These are made with thin strips of bamboo and saw dust for a shape and then the lacquer is added one layer at a time. A Large (10" in height x 10.75" diameter) 4 piece (2 Trays) BURMESE BEETLENUT BOX, in LACQUER with designs from the Burmese Zodiac! Even the sides and bottoms of the two inside trays are covered with colored designs.
