This cast-iron hibachi base with kettle/circular handles and "kaki" or persimmon top lid (bronze) are the definition of "Shibui." Used to heat water for the tea ceremony, beautiful, yet totally functional. circa 1915.Height = 13" maximum diameter is 10.5"
