| Chinese Longquan celadon "bamboo" bottle VASE. Song Dynasty, with provenance from the J.T. Tai Co. Collection. Beautifully proportioned and well potted in one of the most desirable shapes in Chinese ceramics; this vase would be a highlight to a collector's Song collection! Purchased March 22, 2011 from Sotheby's in New York City, Lot # 285. Height is 6.5 inches or 16.5 cm. There are two "cuts" made in the footrim and there is a long (old) crack that runs around the widest portion of the body and is clearly visible in the photographs as a "darker" line.
