| Korean 11-sided "HONEY POT" or "oja" or "seokganju" are the most uniquely 'Korean' of pots. This particular example (#5 0f 5) os the largest of the other 4 pots. As 4 of the other 5 pots, it comes with it's original lid. There are numerous areas where the glaze ran during the firing process, but these are not unusual nor even unsightly. This is Korean folk art at it's best in this medium! A very similar pot sold at Christie's in New York City for $1,528 on September 18, 2001, Lot #307, Height is 9 6/8 inches ( 24 cm) x 9 inches (22 cm) Condition is fair with glaze loss but no cracks. Circa: 18/19th Century. | ||
