| A humorous depiction of the Japanese ZEN Buddhist priest who meditated in China in the mountains for 7 years, till he lost the use of his legs. Seal marked by artist (see enlargement #4) The ends of the scroll are ivory and there is the original kiri wood box. Condition, some slight wrinkles which are primarily in the border, with one in the moon behind Dharuma. The colors are vibrant. Circa, 1880-1890's. Dimensions of the scroll are 70.5" x 19" and the painting itself are 34" x 14". | ||
