22" Chinese VASE from Ching-te-Chen Kilns,early 19th C.
Large, 22.5" (57cms.)in height, CHINESE, VASE in baluster form. The elongated body and neck covered with a glaze of sang-de-boeuf dripping with iridescent purple, thinning to a cream tone to the edges of the flaring rim. Brown wash on the base where there is a small firing crack that does not show through on the inside. No other damage of any kind. Ships in a more than 100yr. old kiri-wood case. Purchased @ Christies,Los Angeles, see Catalogue, "Asian Works of Art," 10/06, 2000, Lot #198, pg. 55. Circa: early 19th Century.
