| A Large (10" in height x 10.75" diameter) 4 piece (2 Trays) BURMESE BEETLENUT BOX, in LACQUER with designs from the Burmese Zodiac! Even the sides and bottoms of the two inside trays are covered with colored designs. There are elephants, monkeys, birds, Griffins, rats and dancers adorning the circumference of this container which was used for keeping Beetlenut, Lime and Salt for those addicted to this custom! Condition is good, but there is some loss of color as to be ewxpected from lacquerware this age. Circa: 1900-1920. | ||
