| Northern Thai pottery Blue & Cream COVERED BOX with bird hnadle in brown the body an dlid with alternating panels of a vegetal scrolls and geometric patterns, Each panel is separated by a raised line. The foot is painted brown. Clear glaze overall. See"South-East Asian Ceramics: Thai, Vietnamese, and Khmer," Dick Richards, Oxford University Press, 1995, pg. 99. Provenance: from the Arthur M. Sackler Collection #72.3.363A and #72.3.363b and Sotheby's Sale # 3574, November 20-21, 1973, illustrated, Lot 364, Ex-collection Estate of William H. Lautz, New York. Condition is quite good.
