Hakuin Zenga of Bodhidharma Heijoshin by Tanaka Onkodo
Heijoshin is the shortened phrase of Heijo shin kore michi nari, or A calm heart is the way of the dao. The term is favored not just by tea masters and enthusiasts but by Japanese business men to professional athletes.

The work was done by the proprietor of Tanaka Onkodo, in Aoyama District of Tokyo. Tanaka Onkodo is a well known establishment that specializes in Japanese Zen art. The work was composed around the 1980-1990 period by the previous owner of the gallery and the work reflects the observation and years of study done by the owner of Tanaka Onkodo. Shikishi board is sealed by the proprietor on the bottom right.

Condition: No damages, dents, or tears are found and has been kept in extremely good condition. Shikishi are known to be fragile and keeping them in pristine condition is difficult.

Size: 24.4 x 27.2 cm or 9 1/2" x 10 3/4".
