With its robes draping down across its shoulders, the arms and hands revealed, the long ear lobes clearly carved, the face in a smile of happiness and the eyes twinkling, all facets of the horn and its occlusions utilized to bring out the color and texture of the lohan. Qing. 7 5/16 in. high.
Provenance: Trenton, New Jersey collection Condition excellent. Except for normal imperfections in the horn incorporated in the left ear and small portion of the back of the head, no cracks, breaks or damages. Base plate missing as shown in photographs.
