Well painted with a profusion of flowers filling the exterior surface of the vase up the well proportioned neck to the mouth and down to the nicely pooling glaze on the foot, a six character Qianlong mark in overglaze red on the base. Qing. 11 3/4 in. high.
Provenance: Buck County, Pennsylvania collection Condition: Drilled as a lamp, cracked with pieces restuck. See photographs for details. Dahliantiques does not offer Chinese vases that have been both drilled as a lamp and have other damages unless the piece is of particular quality and interest. In this case the condition issues mentioned above are difficult to detect due to the millefleur pattern; and the shape, quality of the decoration as well as the calligraphy of the Qianlong mark make the vase appropriate for sale. Dahliantiques unconditionally guarantees each piece that it sells as to age, authenticity and condition. All of the Chinese art that it offers for sale were obtained over a 35 year period exclusively from sources in the United States, principally in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania, from estate sales, recognized dealers and similar venues. |
