Antique Burl Box Circa. 1900
American. In very good condition. Slight crack on top/corner but overall in very good condition. Box functions perfectly for closure. Great for man's jewelry. Originally made for cigarettes but never used as there is no tobacco scent whatsoever. Box has a "woody" fragrance. Measures 5 inches wide, 4 inches deep and 2 inches high.

Pair of Large Antique Chinese Fu Dogs
Circa. 1850 Pair of hand-carved wood fu dogs. All original paint. Very dramatic and decorative. In excellent condition with the exception of an age crack on the back of one dog. Nothing you would not expect from something this old. It only adds to the charm and patina of the pair. Fu Dogs are thought to bring good luck to the owner, and ward off evil spirits, as well. Tunbridge Weare Wooden Box. Circa. Mid-nineteenth century. Indeed, some of these Tunbridge Weare boxes date back to the 17th Century. All were made in Kent, England. The box is in wonderful condition, except for missing one raised side panel which closes under the lid. Not noticeable. This box is pictured in the Encyclopedia of Decorative Arts. Definitely tunbridge Weare.
