| Biedermeier Style Jewelry Chest C. 1940 European. Absolutely fabulous. Custom made 12 drawer jewelry chest in fruitwood with lacquer ornamentation Tambour roll top center with mirrored back. Each drawer interior is in pristine condition with robin's egg blue moire lining. The chest measures 20 inches wide and 19 inches in height. 10 1/4 inches deep at the bottom (the deepest part) 26 pounds. The stained wood and black lacquer details can all use another coat. It is a simple restoration which would bring the piece to pristine condition. If you are a purist,as we are, you can leave this cabinet as is, and appreciate it reflecting its commensurate wear over time. All drawers and openings are correspondingly numbered in pencil (at back) by the cabinetmaker. In excellent original condition. | ||||||||||||||
