| Pair of Antique Silver & Paste Barettes Circa. 1840 - 1860 England. Occasionally we come across an extraordinary item....and this is it! This pair of antique barettes were most probably the tops of hair combs,dating back to the mid-19th Century. They were, at some point in time, converted to barettes. One barette seems to have a lion hallmark. Each barette has 7 large wonderful antique paste brilliants. Their quality is excellent. Each barette measures 2 1/4 inches long and 3/8 inches wide. The paste brilliants are approximately 1/4 inch in diameter. An extremely rare item! In excellent condition. | ||||||||
