There is spectacular enameling on this oval form casket that is cradled between a Meridian Company (1869) frame with pierced wheel and ringed handles on a splayed embossed base with pierced trellis and rolled feet. The box would have contained the symbolic etrog (citron) for the 7/8 day festival of Sukkoth. 9" x 5" x 7.5" Fine condition.

A heavy molded glass box with a connecting diamond and loop etched pattern, and a scrolling leaf design on the bronze mounting. Slight rubbing to base corners, otherwise good condition. 5 3/8 x 3 1/4 x 4 inches
The box is a visual explosion of dense polychrome enameling.The acanthus scrollwork enameling could be attributed to three Bohemian companies, Meyer's Neffe, Graf Harrach,or Lobmeyer.
