A significant piece showing a large sterling snuff receptacle with gilded interior, hallmarks (F&McB) and a raised facetted blue stone. The textured ram's horn with end of like sterling pattern, facetted red stone and incised initials M.P.L., (probably owners) Set on dual sterling ball feet. Sterling portions polished and pins secured to horn. Excellent condition. 12.5 x 7 inches. Receptacle 4 x 3 inches Mid 19th century.

The top engraved after a scene in the style of Nicolas Lancret 1690-1743, titled Le Colin Maillard (Blind Mans Bluff). The interior lined with a vibrant silk textile and pearl enhancements and set on raised stylized winged birds with paw feet. 6.75 x 6.75 x 4 inches.
A fine decorative large floral form sterling repousse bowl with overlapping petals and center stamens. The mark on the base is for Meriden Britannia (Meriden Connecticut) holloware. Meriden purchased Wilcox & Evertsen in 1895, maker of fine sterling holloware. In 1898 Meriden was taken over by International Silver. The bowl is in excellent condition. 8.75 inches in diameter 2.75 inches high
The mesh area of the frame with four scrolled appliques and raised dots, and surrounded by gadroon and beaded edges. The top area of the frame with torch, quiver, ribbon and laurel leaf. Merchandised by Stern Bros., New York, and marked accordingly as well as an incised France mark. 8.75 x 6.50 inches Good condition.
